The USC Trojans may have suffered a gut punch at the hands of Penn State last Saturday to fall to 3-3, but that hasn’t slowed them down on the recruiting trail.

Just this week they landed 4-star 2026 EDGE rusher Braden Jones and flipped Mississippi State Safety commit Stephen Miller.

Now they are hot on the trail to flip another elite player, this time from Florida State.

According to On3.com‘s Steve Wilfong, USC football is the favorite to flip DL Kevin Wynn.

Can USC Trojans Flip Kevin Wynn?

After a visit to campus this past weekend, it now looks like SC is in the driver’s seat to flip Wynn, ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs.

“USC made a huge impression on him,” says Wiltfong. Coach Henderson, Coach Nua, D’Anton Lynn, and then obviously Lincoln Riley, this defensive staff is pouring a lot on the trail as they try to get this thing right. You see this defense playing at a much higher level this year.”

Kevin Wynn is a 6’2, 325 defensive lineman from Greensboro, GA. One of the most disruptive defensive linemen in the 2025 class, Wynn has been committed to Florida State since June 24th, but schools like Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas have been hot on the trail to flip him.

This would be a huge get for Coach Henderson and the Trojans, and would be the first true defensive tackle in their 2025 class.
