USC Trojans 2025 Recruiting Class At Risk Of Chaos, Lose Local 4-Star Commit To Miami

When it rains for the USC Trojans, it pours, on and off the field. Days after predictions were put in for both QB Julian Lewis and OT Carde Smith to flip their commitment to Colorado, and after being put on probation by the NCAA just yesterday, they have now officially lost a big-time local commit on the defensive side of the ball.

Four-star EDGE, Hayden Lowe, has flipped his commitment from USC to Miami.

Hayden Lowe Flips From USC Trojans To Miami Hurricanes

The 6’5, 248-pound EDGE out of Oaks Christian High School in Los Angeles has been committed to the Trojans since June.

His commitment came during a time when both Justus Terry and Isaiah Gibson (both from Georgia) de-committed, so it felt like a real win to not only gain a commitment from someone on the defensive line but also garner some local talent.

That is now moot as Lowe has decided to take his talents across the country to South Beach.

This leaves Gus Cordova as the only EDGE rusher currently in the USC Trojans 2025 class, and Floyd Boucard as the only other defensive lineman.

Losing Lowe drops USC’s 2025 recruiting ranking to 13th, per On3, and if they do indeed lose both Lewis and Smith, they will certainly fall out of the Top 20.

We know that there are murmurs of them pursuing a potential flip of five-star QB Husan Longstreet, and many other active conversations with recruits going on.

Everyone get ready, this class may look very different, positive or negative, come December.
