It’s been a bit of a rough day for the USC Trojans. First, it was announced, with impeccable timing, that LB Coach Matt Entz would be leaving the program to take the head coaching job at Fresno State.
Whether this had a true impact or not, prized LB Madden Faraimo then chose to sign with Notre Dame instead of USC. Other trending prospects such as Christian Ingram and Josiah Sharma also signed elsewhere.
This left the day hinging on the Trojans closing on one of the top players in the entire 2025 Class, 5-star DL Jahkeem Stewart.
USC Trojans Sign Jahkeem Stewart
SC had been trending to land Stewart since his official visit a few weeks ago, and most of the industry experts put in predictions for him to sign with the Trojans, but with the way the day had gone, nothing was guaranteed.
However, Coach Henny and Coach Riley got it done and Jahkeem Stewart officially signed with USC, bolstering the 2025 recruiting class.
As it stands, the Trojans 2025 Class sits as the 14th-ranked class, per On3. They may still add some players in the late signing period in February, but this is most likely what the class will look like.
Jahkeem Stewart did not play this season after transferring to Edna Karr and re-classifying to the 2025 class. He has been training, however, with EDGE ASSASSINS, a third-party scouting and development service.

Stewart will get to campus asap in the Spring and start his training and development with the team and staff. The defensive line is one of the units that need the biggest improvement from this past season to the next.
As just a freshman, “Thanos” will be expected to make an early impact and will play alongside future sophomores Kam Fountain and Jide Abisiri.
USC will certainly add more talent to the defensive line in the transfer portal as they look to improve on a 6-6 2024 campaign.
